Inep launches school liaison network for ENEM 2026, offering teachers up to R$1,020 per exam day
The National Institute of Educational Studies (Inep) announced a new program that recruits active public-school teachers to work as exam liaisons on ENEM 2026, paying a daily allowance of R$510 and outlining duties, eligibility rules, and the selection timeline.

The Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira (Inep) introduced the Rede de Interlocutores Escolares (RIE) on 17 August, a scheme that enables active teachers from state and district public schools to take part in the administration of the 2026 ENEM. Selected educators will receive a daily allowance for logistical and supervisory tasks carried out during the two-day exam.
## Eligibility and selection process
Only teachers who are currently employed as full-time public-school staff in the state or district networks may apply. Retired teachers, those on any form of leave, or anyone not in active service are excluded. Candidates must be nominated by their state or Federal District education secretariats. After nomination, teachers confirm participation through the RIE portal, complete an online training course, and achieve at least a 50 % score on the final assessment.
## Duties and work schedule
Interlocutores will support the exam by engaging the school community, guiding participants to the online participant portal and confirmation card, and assisting the site coordinator with infrastructure setup. They are also responsible for directing students to physical access points, maintaining order in common areas, and submitting a post-exam activity report. The workday runs from 08:00 to 20:00 (Brasília time) on each exam Sunday, totaling 12 hours of continuous presence; any unauthorized departure results in forfeiture of payment.
## Compensation details
| Item | Amount | |---|---| | Daily allowance (Auxílio de Avaliação Educacional) | R$ 510.00 | | Maximum total for two exam days | R$ 1,020.00 | | Hourly rate (based on 12-hour day) | R$ 42.50 |
Payments are made directly to a bank account provided during registration and are not added to the teacher’s salary or pension.
## Technical requirements and restrictions
Prospective liaisons must own a smartphone with mobile internet and a browser compatible with Inep’s platforms. They cannot have relatives up to the third degree taking the exam in the same municipality where they will work, and they are barred from receiving more than R$ 87,000 in other collaborations with Inep during the same year.
## Timeline
- **Indication by education secretariats:** 8 - 18 September 2026 - **Teacher confirmation:** 22 - 27 September 2026 - **Online training (EaD):** 15 - 28 October 2026 - **ENEM exam days:** 8 and 15 November 2026
The RIE initiative aims to reinforce the logistical backbone of ENEM by leveraging experienced educators who are already embedded in the public-school system, while offering a modest financial incentive for their contribution.
