Santa Casa de São Paulo Opens Enrollment for 2027 Medical School Entrance Exam

The Faculdade de Ciências Médicas da Santa Casa de São Paulo has begun accepting applications for its 2027 medical school entrance exam. The exam offers 180 spots for the medical course, with 175 available through general competition and five through a philanthropic scholarship.

## Entrance Exam Details The application period for the entrance exam will run until August 31. To apply, students must access the Fundação Vunesp website, which is responsible for the selection process. The application fee is R$ 350 for general competition candidates and R$ 120 for philanthropic scholarship candidates.

The philanthropic scholarship covers 100% of the medical course tuition and is aimed at students with a family income of up to one and a half minimum wages (R$ 2,431.50). To be eligible, candidates must not have completed any higher education course and must not have an active or pending enrollment in another college.

## Application and Exam Schedule Candidates interested in the philanthropic scholarship must indicate their interest during the application process. Afterward, the institution will request additional information and documentation to grant the benefit. The entrance exam will be held on September 26 and 27, from 2 pm to 6 pm.

The first day of the exam will feature 80 multiple-choice questions from various subjects, including Portuguese, English, history, geography, biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics. The second day will include an essay and 20 discussion questions, covering biology, chemistry, physics, and Portuguese.

## Exam Locations and Results The exams will be held in eight cities across the state of São Paulo: São Paulo, Bauru, Campinas, Ribeirão Preto, São José do Rio Preto, São José dos Campos, Santos, and Sorocaba. Candidates must choose one of these cities when applying. The results will be announced on October 28, starting at 3 pm, and the first round of enrollments will take place on November 4 and 5.

The Faculdade de Ciências Médicas da Santa Casa de São Paulo is located in the center of São Paulo and has not yet announced its tuition fees for 2027. In 2026, the institution charged R$ 11,782 for students in the 1st to 4th years and R$ 11,385 for students in the 5th to 6th years.
